EPIC Silent Auction (link to pictures!)

Every now and then, you get to be apart of something far bigger than yourself, and something purely amazing. This week is that week for me.

In recent months, I have been working with Chris Lazarus, a mother who has lost one of her sons to a tragic accidental overdose of drugs. This is an epidemic that is taking over our county and she is on a mission to bring awareness to this community, to save even one more child, and one more family from having to travel down the path her family has walked down. Her strength is unreal. Instead of just getting angry, she got angry and did something about it.

I have been honored to work with her in organizing the first annual EPIC (Every Person Initiates Change) 5K and Silent Auction. Well, her boyfriend did most of the work for the silent auction.. not gonna lie, and it was AWESOME! Hence, this post… I had the honor of taking the pictures at this great event. The community cam e together and for a first time event, it was a huge success!!! I could not be more proud, and cannot wait to get more pictures of the 5K tomorrow morning!

So, here are the pictures…. (a link to my  FB page… you can view them there… apologies!!! For wome reason, it was being picky about uploading pics today, so this was better then nothing!) I hope you enjoy. Remember, it takes a village to raise our kids, let's be that village!

P.S. Here is a link to hear Chris' story and to donate if you feel so inclined. 100% of net proceeds go directly into the school district!!!
